Abigail Seymour Photography
According to Abigail Seymour, principal photographer at Abigail Seymour Photography, her company did not originally set out to photograph weddings. "We started receiving inquiries for weddings to the point that we were booked every weekend." Seymour found that she really enjoyed the families she worked with and that she felt as if she was photographing a friend's wedding rather than just a client's.
Seymour takes pride in the fact that she and her fellow company photographers enjoy a relationship with their clients beyond that of a typical vender. "There are a lot of great photographers in our industry, all of them doing lovely work," says Seymour. "I think it’s the familial affection we feel for our couples that sets us apart." In her opinion this relationship improves the finished photographs. When the families feel at ease in her presence, Seymour feels that they allow her to capture truly honest moments.
When the dress is packed up, the flowers are dried, and the cake is eaten; the archive that you have of the day is your photographs. Wouldn't you rather a friend be the one photographing your special day?
